Olympic Lutherhaven is a camp that was established in 1955 by a handful of Lutheran churches and has been providing a place of spiritual refuge for almost 70 years.
Located on the Kitsap Peninsula in the beautiful state of Washington, the park is currently owned by 7 local Lutheran churches. The camp consists of two separate areas: a campground and a picnic side, with acres of woods, trails, along with two lakefront beaches and swimming platforms, on each operating side on Wildcat Lake.
Olympic Lutherhaven sponsors a youth camp that is open to the public each summer. Please see Summer Camps for additional information.
Did you know that the campground and picnic sides are available for rental when not being used by member churches? Please see the Rental Facilities page for additional details.
Why Donate?
Lutherhaven is a rare gem in Kitsap County supported by its member churches and private donations. Our camp has been providing inexpensive opportunities for adults and children to enjoy fellowship and spiritual connections within our beautiful property. With the help of generous donations from people like you, we can continue to offer kids camps and family camps which center around the intersection of nature and grace.
If you love Lutherhaven and what it has to offer, consider donating. Thank you.
Hello! Our names are Jolene and John Thayer and we are the new Caretakers of Olympic Lutherhaven, a position we accepted in late May of 2022. We both grew up in Kitsap County where we both graduated High School from. John went on to become a local Bremerton business owner and Jolene spent a decade working in the early childhood education field before becoming a homemaker.
John spent many summers as both a camper and counselor here at Lutherhaven! We were married in the field in front of the lodge in the summer of 2008 and both have such happy memories of that time. We have since grown our family with the addition of two beautiful children and a handful of pets!
We have been long time members of Silverdale Lutheran and feel very blessed to have been entrusted with the continuing stewardship of such a special place to so, so many.
